- Mole Creek Karst National Park

Mole Creek Karst National Park is located in the central north of Tasmania. There's a system of over 300 caves and huge underground springs and rivers. Two caves are open for public, the “Marakoopa” and “King Solomons Caves” with a fascinating range of animals and a large glow-worm display you won’t find again anywhere in Australia.

Marakoopa Cave
If you would like to experience a cave that offers amazing stalactites and stalacmites and a variety of ancient creatures you should join the guided tours of both caves (approx. 45 minutes each). We had a brilliant guide down there who at one time switched all the lights off so that we could experience how it feels like to be in absolute darkness...

There's a  kombi-ticket for both caves but beware it will take you 15 minutes to travel between both caves so make sure you have enough time for both caves. Have a look for the times and entry fees: Info
